We spent the last weekend in Vegas for our great friends, Sarah and Daron's wedding. I was a bridesmaid and we were there with all of my good friends from college. This was my first time out and Joey's third, so he served as my tour guide for the trip. It was one of the best weekends of our lives, and totally worth the exhaustion we feel this week.
We left bright and early Thursday morning (woke up at 4:00 - or 2:00 Vegas time) and arrived in Vegas at 10:10 local time. We checked in, played some slots, met with our friends, and then later that night we attended LOVE, the Beatles cirque du soleil. For those of you that don't know me well, I have an old soul when it comes to music, and the Beatles are my absolute faves. The show was PERFECT! If you are ever in Vegas, it should be a requirement...
Friday morning, we went sight-seeing with Julie and Ryan. Vegas is such an exciting place to see, and I know we didn't see half of what we should have, but I still feel like we saw enough highlights to know what we are talking about if it ever comes up in conversation.
On Friday night, we had the bachelorette party. We started off in the suite for some pre-gaming, and then took a stretch Hummer limo to Tao for dinner and going out. We had table service for the night, so we were total VIP and probably acted like it. Unfortunately, we didn't see the Kardashians, but we still had a great time!
On Saturday, we had the rehearsal, and then just lounged in the suite and watched the Auburn/Georgia game. We had the rehearsal dinner that night at Firefly, and it proved to be an emotional night with all of the speeches and what not.
After the rehearsal dinner, a few of us took a cab to the Bellagio to see the fountains. We rode up right as it was starting, or so we thought. It was only one song, which I don't know if that is normal or not, but I thought it would at least last 10 minutes or so instead of like 2. Anyone who has seen it before, fill me in on if we saw the whole thing or if we only heard the last song.
The wedding was on Sunday and it was an absolutely perfect day. Sarah looked stunning, the weather was excellent, the dinner was delicious, and the reception was so much fun.
Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Flory. We love you guys and were so excited to be a part of your special day. We look forward to many more years of great times and good memories.
