Wedding Day (Part 1)

Our wedding day could not have gone any better.  There was not one of those "oh crap" moments, everything was perfect.  It was unseasonably chilly for mid-October, but we didn't let that stop us.  We had a great time and will always cherish the memories of that day.  Here is a journal of the events.

The day started pretty early as all of the girls that stayed at my house the night before (most of the bridesmaids) got up to start the rotation of showers.  After we had our showers, we headed off to get our hair done at Blue Velvet, a salon in Mountain Brook.  We occupied pretty much the whole studio with our party of about 15.

While we were busy with that, the boys were enjoying beverages while watching football.

We then went back to my house to get ready.  Everyone was wearing the shirts that Sarah's dad made for the bachelorette party, and we did the ceremonial cutting of the shirts (don't ask me why we do this, but we've done it for the past two weddings of our Auburn group of friends).

Next came a few pictures at the house and in the middle of the road before heading off to an abandoned house in Bluff Park to meet the guys.

Next, we were off to meet the guys.  Here are some of my favorite shots from that location.

We were then off to the church for lunch, more pictures, and to wait for the ceremony to start...
