On Friday, we woke up and Joey, Uncle Dom, Mr. Joe, and myself went to a shooting range. A little back story here - Aunt Lucy got Uncle Dom two machine guns for Valentine's Day, and Uncle Dom couldn't wait for us to get there so him and Joey could go shoot them. Little did he know that I would be interested in going too, and I have to say, I got more pins down than Joey.
After we shot a couple of his guns, we went to the pond in his hunting club and there were even more beautiful views.
The wedding was beautiful, and we had a great time at the reception. It was definitely different than how we do it down south, but we had a blast!
Joey, David (the groom), Dominic (the groom's brother), and Joey's grandmother dancing.
Monica, me, Joey, and Felicia (Joey's cousins) at the reception.
Monica, me, Joey, Felicia, Megan (Joey's other cousin), David, and Christy.
So David took a dive under Christy's gown when he was supposed to be getting the garter and pulled out a huge pair of granny panties and some cobwebs ... everyone got a kick out of that.
On our last day there, we went to visit Alex, Nora, and Janna. Janna is Joey's cousin and Alex is Joey's godson. They were at Disney World the week before, so our only chance to see them was on our last day. I had so much fun playing dress up with Nora.
The crew before we left.
Joey and I had such a great time in Connecticut and are really looking forward to being back in June for Megan's wedding. She will be getting married in Mt. Snow, Vermont, so I'll be able to mark another state off my list!
beautiful pictures - scenery and people, glad you got to enjoy this time; remember how much you loved playing 'dress up' when you were little - no wonder you loved playing with Nora - love the 'granny panties' story - only David!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures!! Can't wait to hear more about your trip this weekend :)
ReplyDeleteI love the dress you wore to the wedding and I'm like you, I'd be interested to shoot those guns too! The trees are breathtaking, I'm sure they were much prettier in person too.
ReplyDeleteThe trees were so beautiful :) and so were you!
