I put up the majority of my Christmas decorations the weekend BEFORE Thanksgiving (I can hear the collective gasp from all you traditional folks out there). I know that is a no-no, but I knew we would be gone the weekend after Thanksgiving, and I've always been a rebel at heart, so I decided to screw tradition. I have been waiting to blog about it though, because I had a DIY project to complete. With the wonderful help of my mother, I made our stockings this year. I had been eyeing some on Etsy, but they were over $20 a piece, and I decided we could make them for cheaper than that, plus then it would have a personal touch. I think they turned out great, and their imperfections make them that way. Here are some pics of my decorations ...
Yes, Miles' is a fish and Berkley's is a bone.
Lastly, I'll leave you with a few pics of Berk. The first one, I was taking pictures of the Christmas decorations and he decided he wanted to take part. The second one requires a little story as explanation. Joey's mom bought these "mittens" for Berkley when his dad was in the hospital getting his knee replaced (it was not the only Auburn thing she bought - I think she cleared the hospital gift store out). She thought he would enjoy them when they went on their little walks. She was wrong. We were only able to get 2 of them on (only one on correctly), and he had them off in a matter of about two minutes. It still provided a really cute photo op and we'll keep trying to get him to wear them.
i'm still obsessed with berkley! i keep begging matt to agree to getting one. but he's being a stinky boy!
