My Dear Husband

So my dear husband complained to me today because I don't mention him enough on the blog.  And I threatened to create a blog about him, but not good, make it about how he REFUSES to tell me anything he wants for Christmas.  Well I am definitely not "all bark and no bite" so here goes.

I've been asking Joey since October what he wanted for Christmas.  He has yet to tell me a single thing.  I know most of the ladies around me have the same problem with their husband, but this is different in a small way.  He won't graciously accept something I buy him if he didn't ask for it ...  he'll take it back (whether he likes it or not).  So I got him one $10 surprise and bought him a sweatshirt he wanted (that yes, he is already wearing).  He will not be getting anything else unless he sees something he likes and wants me to buy it.  I thought this would teach him a lesson, but I seriously doubt it.  He would much rather not spend the money than get something he wants but doesn't need.  What is this about men?  I will be forever grateful for the wonderful camera I got this Christmas.  It is much more than I deserve, but still, if you asked me something I wanted for Christmas, I could quickly come up with a list of about ten things.  I guess that is the difference in Mars and Venus.  Who knows?

Speaking of a wish list ... here are a few things I am lusting over right now.  No, I do not want them for Christmas, just reiterating the point that a girl can always think of something she wants when asked.
1. A sewing machine - I strive to be crafty and this is one thing I am missing
2. Burlap Tom's - I have never owned a pair, but have heard good things, plus I am obviously into all things burlap right now (see my stockings).
3. Photoshop - this will go along with #4 and #5, but it is needed to create seriously good pictures (or atleast that is what I believe)

4. Photo lessons - I have heard the botanical gardens has great classes

5. Digital photography book - recommended on one of the blogs I read.
6. A subscription to Southern Living and Real Simple.

7. Pioneer Woman Cooks

In all seriousness - Joey is great!  He makes sure I have whatever I want while not asking for anything for himself (except to leave me to go fishing).  He takes care of me, is a wonderful husband, and I really don't mention it enough!
