Again, I can't say it enough, to God be the glory! However, like the mom in the article, I am also so incredibly thankful that I chose to deliver at the hospital I did. There are a lot of great hospitals in Birmingham to choose from (and frankly, unlike her, I think they all would have fought for Charlotte's life just as much as my hospital did), but I know that God put me at Brookwood for a reason. The staff responded so well to my emergency, and each of the nurses that had either Charlotte or me during our stay were incredible. They went above and beyond to find a place for me to stay after I had been released and Charlotte was still in the NICU. My OB's office had flowers waiting on me when I went in for my checkup. As I mentioned before, so many of the staff told me they were praying for me, and had their family and churches praying for me. Some of the people involved practically became family throughout it all. I will forever be grateful for the Brookwood hospital staff.
