October was a very busy month. We went to Connecticut, the lake, had friends in town, and enjoyed Halloween festivities!
My sweet Charlotte in her Auburn outfit one day for daycare.
When we were in Connecticut, I got an email that the kids school pictures were in. They scanned me the pictures, and when I saw them I just had to chuckle. Caleb is such a ham and I love his extreme cheese face. I also think its hilarious how terrified Charlotte looks when Caleb was holding her.

Extreme "cheese" face!
Just contemplating life!
Joey and I celebrated our 5th anniversary on the 17th!
We went to the lake for the weekend and my parents were kind enough to watch all four kids while Joey, Nick, Kayla, and I went to Auburn to enjoy a nice meal at Acre. None of us had ever been and we had a great time and delicious meal! I want my house to look like that place, such a great atmosphere!
After dinner, we drove all around Auburn reminiscing on college life. As we were driving by the new coliseum we noticed the doors were open and cars were parked outside. There was a military banquet going on, so we went around and explored quietly. I can't wait to go to a basketball game there!
We had some wonderful fall nights in October that we enjoyed by the fire. This night we just had dinner outside and watched cartoons on the fireplace. Of course Caleb was mesmerized!
For the past four years, a group of my college friends and their spouses have gotten together in the fall for a Friends Weekend. For the past two years, everyone has come to Birmingham to go to a pumpkin patch and hang out at our house afterwards. Of the seven couples that usually come, six have had kids and all six have had boys first (we are the only ones on round two so Charlotte is the only girl). We now have six boys that are 3 and under, so I'm sure you can imagine what a rowdy fun time we have.
Here are the five boys that came (one couple was not able to come this year because they had a six week old at home). They were all trying to work together to lift the cannon. We tried to get them all together for a picture, but it didn't work out.

And here is the best we could do for a picture of all of us together!
We rode a train and filled it to the max capacity. The weight limit was 500 pounds and we had 5 adults and 5 kids but somehow convinced the conductor we were under that amount :)
Last year, we had all of the kids bring their Halloween costumes so that we could get a picture of them all together. Caleb did not want to put on his costume or sit for the picture, but we have a great picture of 4 of the 5 from last year.
This year we only got two in their costume and in the same frame. Everyone else was too busy playing in the bounce house!
Smiling at her daddy. He always gets the best smiles!
Scared of the flash, but I was finally able to get a picture that shows a peek of her two teeth!
Caleb went to stay with his Nonnie and Poppy for a few days, and they taught him how to "becycle".
They also bought him crayons for the tub. He always has fun at the grandparents house!Overall we had a great month with a lot of firsts. First flights for both of them, first time sitting up for Charlotte, first two teeth, and first bath crayons :)
