May was a busy but great month! We started off on the 2nd with Charlotte's first birthday party (and my 30th)! See those two posts here and here. The next weekend, we enjoyed a date night for the beautiful wedding of Missy and Chip!

We also had Charlotte's one year photo shoot, and here were some of the sneak peeks I got. I'll do another post of more of those as well!
One of the weekends we were in Huntsville, we went out to the farm of the doctor Joey's mom works for and the kids had a blast!
And Caleb got to pick an egg from the chicken pen (which he subsequently broke)...
Charlotte had her one year check up and was 21 pounds 5.5 ounces (70th percentile) and 29.75 inches (50th percentile).
For part of the week before Memorial Day, Joey and I took a adults-only beach trip with two of our great friends, one of Joey's college roommates and his wife. We had such a nice, relaxing time and the kids didn't seem to miss us too much at the grandparent's house!
The day we came back from the beach, our newest niece Anna was born!

The last weekend in May, we traveled to Atlanta for one of my best college friend's little boy's birthday party. He had a pirate-themed party and we had a blast seeing old friends and their precious boys. This group of friends has had or are pregnant with EIGHT boys and ONE girl (Charlotte). One of the girls is pregnant now and is not finding out what she is having, so hopefully we will get a playmate for Charlotte soon!
